Katy trained at Newcastle Dental school and qualified in 2005 with a distinction in restorative dentistry.

She particularly enjoys treating nervous patients and children and carrying out all types of treatment including metal-free restorations, tooth whitening, Invisalign, braces and veneers. Katy understands the importance of listening to patients and keeping you at ease.

Katy has three young children and in her (spare) time, she enjoys cycling, swimming, sailing and cooking. Katy is local to the practice and lives in Mersea.

Laura Horton’s role in the clinic is to lead our team, patient experience and hold appointments with patients as the practice’s Treatment Coordinator (TCO), Laura is committed to ensuring every patient has a seamless, enjoyable experience at our clinic. Her passion for patient care and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset. Laura particularly enjoys supporting nervous patients in her role as a TCO.

Laura is from Essex and in her spare time enjoys being active with her young son, quality family time and walking in the Essex countryside with her dog Monty.

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Kirsty qualified as a Dental Hygienist with a distinction in her Foundation Degree of Oral Health Science at Essex University in 2023. However, she has worked in dentistry since 2004, primarily in the Community.

Her passion is providing and promoting key oral health messages to all ages and abilities with a preventative and caring approach.

She enjoys spending quality time with her family, socialising with friends and taking long walks along the beach with her French Bulldog, Charlie.

Andrew is our advanced implant dentist. His passion is transforming the lives of his patients who had often lost hope before meeting him and embarking on a journey together. Andrew says there is always a way!

He leads the Winning Smiles team while devoting his clinical time to cases involving dental implants, crowns and full mouth rehabilitation, restoring beauty and function to patients with complex problems.

He routinely carries out immediate implants for single teeth and full mouth teeth replacement We carry out all modern techniques, such as bone grafting and fitting both fixed and removable (implant denture) teeth.

Andrew lives in Colchester and has been involved in implant dentistry since 2004, placing thousands of implants successfully. His focus is always on long-term success, so we use only the best implant system and work with the best dental technicians.

Dr Kanzaria known to our patients as Nandi, trained at King’s College London and graduated in 2015. She went on to complete further training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, prior to going into general practice in 2018.

Having undergone several years of dental treatment herself, she believes dental health plays a huge role in a person’s overall wellbeing including functionality, aesthetics and self-confidence. She strongly favours using preventative measures where appropriate, and uses this as the basis to provide care for all her patients.

When treating anxious patients, she takes an empathetic, gentle and well-explained approach, ensuring that patients feel at ease and as comfortable as possible through the treatment. To supplement this, she is undergoing further training to provide ‘Conscious Sedation’ to those patients who are highly anxious, which she finds is a fantastic way to alleviate patient nervousness and distress.

Away from dentistry, Dr Kanzaria enjoys long distance running and yoga. She also loves experimenting with different cuisines and is always ready for a new adventure.
